Our shops are located in two of Kumamoto's major tourist areas: near Suizenji Garden and at Josaien, close to Kumamoto Castle. Please choose the location that best fits your travel plans. At your chosen shop, you can select your preferred kimono, and our professional staff will assist you with dressing. Once you're dressed, we'll store your belongings, allowing you to start exploring the historic castle town of Kumamoto in your kimono. For an additional fee, you can return the kimono to a different shop or even keep it overnight for an extended rental.

Let's explore the historic Izumi Shrine in Suizenji Park. Its elegant architecture makes awonderful backdrop for visitors in kimono. The shrine is home to sacred water called “water of longevity”, which is carefullypreserved as part of the shrine's worship. The traditional attire and beautiful contrast of the red torii gate, as well as the historic buildings, make fora great photo spot. Experience the typical way of worshipping at a shrine, and enjoy the calm atmosphere of the precincts. Izumi Shrine provides apicturesque setting that makes wearing a kimono in Kumamoto even more attractive. Female's Kimono Plan

Please select your preferred store (Suizenji Store or Josaien Store) from the web. After selecting a rental plan, please make a reservation for the number of people and the date and time of your visit. Same-day reservations are also acceptable depending on availability! reserve

You are welcome to come to the store empty-handed!
We can keep any luggage you do not need for your trip.
Kimono, dressing, footwear, etc. are all included in the rental.
Please come to the reserved store by the reserved time.
We do not have a parking lot, so please park your car at a nearby pay parking lot or come by public transportation. -
Choose a kimono and obi, and go to the dressing room.
You will be able to choose your favorite kimono or a kimono and obi that suits you from about 150 pieces. If you are not sure, our kimono stylist will advise you.
A qualified kimono stylist will dress you quickly and carefully. (Dressing time is about 10 minutes.) The time required from your arrival to departure is less than one hour. -

After paying your bill and depositing your luggage, you are free to spend your time at your leisure until it is time to return.

Please return to the store by 5:00 p.m. on the same day and return the rented kimono.
If you would like to change the store you rented the kimono from, for example, “I rented it at the Josai store, but I want to return it to the Suizenji store.” If you want to change the store where you rent the kimono and the store where you return it, please contact us.
You can change the return store according to your travel plans.
(If you wish to change the return location, an optional fee of 550 yen will be charged at the time of return. Please note that we cannot accept any unnecessary baggage.)

Come immerse yourself in the Japanese culture of kimonos at our store located in Kumamoto's vibrant tourist district.
We mainly rent sightseeing kimonos and yukatas, but also offer a wide range of other rental items such as maternity kimonos, visiting kimonos, and hakamas.
We have two stores: the Suizenji Store located on the approach to Suizenji Seishuen (Suizenji Park) and the Josaien Store in Josaien, located at the foot of Kumamoto Castle.
We have over 150 kimonos available for rental for women, men, and children.
Kimono and yukata rentals are complete sets, so you can come empty-handed.
You can rent for any hours between 10:00 and 17:00.

- Don't worry, we have sizes up to 3XL for both men and women.

- Can I use the toilet while wearing a kimono?
- Yes, you can. Please ask a staff member when you come to the store.
